At the end of my trip I was able to share with a beautiful girl. Her name was Lily and I was able to use my testimony to relate and share Jesus with her. I was made aware that she has struggled with depression in the past and depression plays a large part of my testimony and lead me to fully give Jesus my life. While swimming I asked her how she chose Islam as her religion and then preceded to share with her how I chose Christianity. After telling her my past with depression she showed me the scars on her arms and told me she has struggled too. I then used that to explain how giving my life to Jesus saved and ultimately changed my life for the better. I asked her if her religion helped her too and she told me no, it was all up to her to get better. I used that as leverage to share with her how amazing and loving God is!
This was an amazing experience because I was able to use my life as evidence of God. She said she was open to reading Bible verses that have helped me through my depression and I plan to send her my church services from home.
