One day, after my partner and I had finished up our quiet time in a Café near the beach, we went for a stroll. A really huge part of what we were doing was praying, we chose to do a lot of this while we were walking and trying to meet friends and share with them. During this walk we meet two girls, Fiona and Ozzy. Ozzy and I got to have a really awesome interaction: she was very curious to hear about what I believed as a Christian. At one point I remembered that I had my Bible in my backpack, so I asked her if she’d like to see it and hold it. Her face lit up and she was so amazed that holding this book involved no ceremonial washing beforehand and that I just had it with me in my bag. I asked her if she would like to read some of it with me, and she said yes! We read about Jesus and she asked the question “so you don’t believe that the good things you do will get you into Heaven?” I assured her that I believe Jesus’ perfect life, sacrificial death and burial, and His victorious resurrection is the only thing that can save anyone from their sins. I turned her to Ephesians 2:1-10 in my Bible and what started as me reading the words out loud turned into my fingers moving to each word and Ozzy reading them out loud. Ozzy didn’t get saved that day, but she heard the gospel and saw how available salvation is. Continue praying for Ozzy and that she would seek truth and that God would soften her heart to His voice beckoning her to turn to Him.
